Introduction of Workshop Group

"One Belt, One Road" is a global cooperation initiative proposed by China, which aims to promote economic cooperation and exchanges among countries along the route. "One Belt, One Road" is the collective name of "Silk Road Economic Belt" and "21st Century Maritime Silk Road". Jointly building the "Belt and Road" and jointly building a community with a shared future for mankind is the only way to deal with global crises and achieve long-term development. The application of service design in the "Belt and Road" involves many fields, including infrastructure construction, digital development, medical health, cultural tourism construction, rural construction and cultural exchanges, etc. The workshop will introduce the basic theories and methods of service design, demonstrate the key role of service design in promoting the "Belt and Road" projects by sharing some successful cases. We will apply service design methods and tools to solve practical challenges and come up with innovative solutions with discussions and practical operations.

IIn recent years, we have realized that "aging" is one of the major social challenges that healthcare workers and patients' relatives have to face now. In addition to traditional medical caregivers, many designers and technologists are getting into the field of healthcare for advanced age. Design for Elders Workshop aims to provide participants with a platform for learning, innovation and cooperation. Introduction of Workshop Group

"Rural revitalization" is a topic with general concern of all countries. Art design majors participate in the work of rural revitalization, aiming to rely on the five elements of "people", "culture", "land", "production" and "scenery" in the countryside, to help the rural land achieve the goal of "Thriving village" and "Getting rich". This workshop group focuses on the creation of a "cultural tourism village". The related design content includes but not limited to environmental design, IP design, product design, service design, courtyard economy, etc. The workshop will invite tutors to independently set tasks, share cases, methods, and demonstrate their own experience in rural work; through online group discussions and practical operations, lead trainee from different institutions to solve challenges and propose innovative solutions.

Introduction of Workshop Group

With the theme of "15-minute life circle", this workshop is committed to being people-oriented, integrating relevant interest groups into the design process, and making design projects feasible and sustainable.

1. Understand the concept and significance of the "15-minute life circle", and encourage participants to share their vision and expectations for an ideal living environment.

2. Participants will be divided into small groups to visit nearby communities, observe the environment and residents' lives, collect data and opinions, and gain an in-depth understanding of local needs.

3. Co-creation discussion: Group members share collected information, jointly analyze problems and challenges, and jointly conceive solutions, encouraging innovative and diverse thinking.

4. Sustainability considerations: Guide participants to think about future changes, the impact of factors such as population growth and technological progress on the design plan, and ensure the sustainability of the project.

5. Display of design schemes: Each group will present their co-created design schemes, and after collective discussion and feedback, the schemes will be further improved and optimized.

Expecting output content:

Through this workshop group, we hope to achieve the following results:

1. To formulate a people-centered and innovative design scheme to give convience, comfort and health to residents.

2. To emphasize the value of co-creation design and encourage community members to actively participate in and promote sustainable urban planning and development.

Introduction of Workshop Group

The "Beijing Central Axis" starts from the Bell and Drum Tower in the north, passes through Wanning Bridge, Jingshan, the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Zhengyangmen, and Yongdingmen in the south, running through the old city of Beijing, with a total length of about 7.8 kilometers. Its development and evolution are synchronized with the old city of Beijing. It was founded in the Yuan Dynasty, formed in the Ming and Qing Dynasties to modern times. After more than 750 years, it is the longest and most complete traditional central axis of city in China. It is a model of the development of the central axis of the cities. During nearly 8 centuries, Beijing Central Axis has always adhered to the cultural tradition of "decency, justice, harmony and win-win cooperation", highlighting the combination of tradition and modernity, material and spiritual; Beijing Central Axis has always adhered to the governance concept of "diversity and unity" and witnessed the integration of multi-ethnic cultural customs and lifestyles.

Beijing Central Axis Cultural Theme Design Workshop Group takes Beijing Central Axis' application for world cultural heritage as the background, and gathers designers, artists, experts and scholars who are interested in this theme to reaserch together. In the workshop group, members explore the cultural connotation of Beijing's central axis through discussion, research, sharing and cooperation, dig out its unique value and significance, and try to transform it into creative design works and projects.

Introduction of Workshop Group

Food Materia Medica is an important pharmacopoeia of the Ming Dynasty, which contains rich historical and cultural connotations, shows the ancient dietetic culture and lifestyle, and also reflects the ancients' understanding of the harmonious coexistence of nature and the human body. In contemporary society, with the development of science and technology and culture, Food Materia Medica has gradually become an important topic for researching and discussing the relationship between traditional Chinese dietary culture and life.

This workshop aims to explore and disseminate traditional Chinese food therapy culture through digital and virtual media. We hope to achieve the development of knowledge visualization, interaction and dissemination, design and innovation, etc., so that the knowledge of Food Materia Medica can be passed on, and more people can understand the close connection between diet therapy and life. This innovative approach will improve the efficiency of dissemination of Food Materia Medica and enhance public awareness of traditional food culture.

In the workshop, each research group will conduct research and practice around Food Materia Medica, and work together to complete the output of digital fashion content from the two dimensions of "science popularization narrative" and "product derivation". The task is dedicated to creating an innovative ecology of cross-border integration, promoting the modernization and globalization of the traditional cultural resource Food Materia Medica, and contributing to the construction of a digital fashion culture with Chinese characteristics.
