Topic Description
The aging trend in China's rural areas is becoming more and more serious, and there are great difficulties in the management and diagnosis of chronic diseases in the elderly. The “Rural Elderly Chronic Disease Guardianship Action” is established in the context of rural healthcare, which is often confronted with the challenges of a lack of healthcare resources, outdated service facilities, and a shortage of healthcare personnel. This workshop will be based on the above issues in service design, and we encourage the development of innovative thinking and practical skills. Together with your team members, you will design innovative and feasible chronic disease management service programs that address the actual needs of rural elders. These solutions may include, but are not limited to: developing a convenient and easy-to-use health management APP to provide online medical consulting services for rural elders; establishing a rural chronic disease mutual support group to promote communication and support among elders; designing rehabilitation exercise programs suitable for rural environments, and so on.
Workshop Objective:
In the context of China's rural healthcare dilemma, to improve the current situation of chronic disease management for the elderly in rural areas by developing creative thinking and practical skills to design innovative chronic disease management service programs that can meet the actual needs of rural elders.
Expected outcomes of the workshop:
A service design program for “Rural Elderly Chronic Disease Protection Action” (full report & video)
