工作坊课题说明

当我们越来越依赖于虚拟交流,身体与头脑之间的界限变的愈发明确,这让我们的行为、思维与未来发生了改变。通过唤醒身体来思考:身体是否有可能塑造精神?身体如何与自然交互?身体如何响应环境?可否从身体感知出发获得心智力量?都是我们将要找寻的答案。

课程从开放的心理学、现象学、生物科学、身体美学、工程学和材料学等跨学科的启发与感知为起点,引入具身认知理论并探寻其全新视角,开展对于身体观、身体的问题意识、身体的未来等问题的研究与解读。

课程颠覆传统从理论到实践的认知模式,引导学生通过“体”得到“验”,从哲学、医学、音乐、戏剧等工作坊中得到启发,学会用身体感知世界,重新建立与世界的联系;跨越身心对立的边界,重新定义身体的概念,将生物性的身体作为设计的实验场域,重新设计与构建身体。把身体当作一块无限延伸的巨大画布,探索身体与物、身体与场、身体与自然、身体与材料之间的关系,启动身体计划,催化身体反思,推演与展望设计的全新趋势与人类生态的未来。

Topic Description

As we become more and more dependent on virtual communication, the boundaries between body and mind become clearer and clearer, which changes our behaviour, thinking and our future. Through awakening the body, let's think: is it possible for the body to shape the spirit? How does the body interact with nature? How does the body respond to its environment? Is it possible to gain power of mind from physical perception? These are the answers we will be looking for.

Starting from an interdisciplinary perspective that is open to inspiration and perception from psychology, phenomenology, bioscience, body aesthetics, engineering and materials science, the course introduces embodied cognitive theory and explores new perspectives on the body, the body's problematic awareness and the future of the body.

The course overturns the traditional theory-to-practice model of cognition, guiding students to "experience" through the "body", to be inspired by workshops in philosophy, medicine, music and drama, to learn to use the body to perceive the world and reconnect with it; to cross the boundary between mind and body and to redefine the concept of body. The body is redefined as a boundary between mind and body, and the biological body is used as a field of experimentation to redesign and reconstruct the body. Using the body as an infinitely extended canvas, the workshop explores the relationship between body and object, body and field, body and nature, body and material, initiating body projects, catalysing body reflections, projecting and anticipating new trends in design and the future of human ecology.
